This Privacy Policy applies to the Al-Nikaah Mobile Application (available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store) and explains how your personal information is collected, used, and protected when you use the app.
1. Information We Collect
When you use the Al-Nikaah mobile app, we may collect:
- Full name, email, phone number, date of birth, gender
- Profile photos and identity documents
- Location (city, country), education, sect, family details
- Device information (model, OS version, unique device ID, IP address)
- Usage data (pages viewed, time spent, features used)
- Photos from camera/gallery (only with your explicit permission)
2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used only to:
- Create and display your matrimonial profile
- Enable communication with other registered members
- Improve app performance and user experience
- Send important notifications (e.g., new messages, matches)
- Prevent fraud and fake profiles
3. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We share your profile only with other paid/verified members who match your criteria. We do not sell your data. Data may be disclosed only if required by Pakistani law or court order.
4. Data Security
We use industry-standard encryption and security measures. However, no app or internet transmission is 100% secure. You use the app at your own risk.
5. Critical: Role of the Independent Mobile App Developer
The Al-Nikaah mobile application was developed on a paid work-for-hire basis by an independent freelance software developer.
The developer:
- Was paid fixed development and maintenance charges only
- Has no ownership, partnership, or financial interest in the Al-Nikaah business
- Does not monitor, verify, or control user profiles, messages, or photos
- Has no access to private chats or personal data except for technical bug fixing
- Is not responsible for any user conduct, fraud, fake profiles, or marriage outcomes
The developer is fully exempt from any legal, religious, moral, or financial liability under Pakistani law including PECA 2016, Google Play/Apple policies, or any marriage/family laws.
All responsibility for app content, user verification, matchmaking, and lawful operation lies exclusively with the business owner and users.
6. Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your account and all data at any time:
- Log in to the app
- Go to Settings → Delete Account
- Confirm deletion
All your data will be permanently erased from our servers within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
This app is strictly for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. You will be notified in-app and via email. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated policy.
